This single chamber bat house is designed by the Organization for Bat Conservation(OBC).
Features:

Your success in attracting bats is affected by the location you choose for your bat house, the availability of natural nesting cavities and the abundance of bats in your area.
We recommend that you position this bat house on the side of a building or mount it on a pole, at least 12 feet off the ground where it will receive a minimum of 8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Painting or staining the wood of this bat house a very dark colour such as black will help it attract and retain heat better in our Canadian climate, making it more attractive to bats in your area.
