This tradition began with the Carib, the native inhabitants of the Caribbean Islands. Spanish explorers knew they were welcome if a pineapple was placed by the entrance to a village. This symbolism spread to Colonial North America and Europe.

This stunning hummingbird feeder is made of faceted glass with a beautiful iridescent pearl finish that compliments the radiant flash of light and color from the visiting hummingbirds. The metal accents have an antique brass finish. The ceramic base top is made of high quality and durable stoneware with a forest green celadon glaze characterized by it’s distinctive crackle finish. Base bottom (underneath) is made of high quality plastic.
