Barometers

Barometers are instruments for measuring atmospheric pressure. Barometers are primarily used in forecasting weather conditions in the very near futurer.  When barometric pressure is rising it means the weather will improve, when the pressure is falling it means the weather will worsen.  

You will often see the words "Rain - Change - Fair" printed on the barometer.  These words are there to remind you what each direction means not exactly what weather to expect.  When the barometer pressure is rising it means fairer weather is on its way!  You'll need to calibrate your barometer for your elevation above sea level.  Complete instructions on barometer calibration are included with every barometer we sell.
